The spelling section of this online handbook is focused on self-help quizzes for University of Arkansas students to prepare for the School of Journalism and Strategic Media’s grammar, spelling and punctuation (GSP) requirement. Here is a list of commonly confused spelling words on the GSP exam.

Use a dictionary (such as Merriam-Webster) as you complete the practice questions below. You’ve studied some of these word choices in previous chapters about apostrophes, contractions and pronouns.
