AUTHOR
Dave Bostwick is a teaching assistant professor and the coordinator for online journalism courses at the University of Arkansas. He has work experience as a sports editor and general assignments reporter in Texas and Oklahoma. Prior to coming to the University of Arkansas, he was an associate professor at Baker University in Kansas, where he received the United Methodist Exemplary Teacher Award in 2012. He also served as faculty adviser for the Baker Orange student newspaper, which won numerous honors, including the Online Pacemaker Award from Associated Collegiate Press. He joined the University of Arkansas in 2017. He has a doctoral degree in higher education leadership with an emphasis in instructional design from Baker University, where he won the Dr. Bill Neuenswander Outstanding Dissertation Award in 2019.
EDITOR
Ninette Sosa is an award-winning news journalist who has expanded her experience to include documentary filmmaking and higher education. She has a master’s degree from the University of Arkansas School of Journalism and Strategic Media with a focus on documentary film, and she earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from San Diego State University. She is now a full-time faculty member at the University of Arkansas.
The Guatemalan native has traveled internationally for news coverage, worked as a certified war correspondent, provided on-scene live reporting of natural disasters, and reported stories of national/international interest for global news networks including CNN, BBC, and VOA.
