Introduction
Welcome
Welcome to “ENCLOTHE,” your go-to resource for fashion show production, titled after your show. This textbook is designed to support you and provide resources as you navigate this exciting project.
Throughout this textbook, we look at many sides of fashion show production, from conceptualization and planning to execution and post-event considerations. From the critical role of committees, budgeting, and venue selection to the nuances of aesthetics, branding, and the ever-important aspects of marketing and public relations, each Module offers insights and practical advice.
This textbook should make the process more approachable and manageable to make space for and inspire creativity, innovation, and a deep appreciation for the work that goes into producing an unforgettable event. Each section provides a detailed exploration of key components, accompanied by real-world examples, case studies, and step-by-step guides.
Even more exciting is the flexibility and fluidity of the textbook. Any resources you find you want or that you craft yourself can be included in this book for future shows. Each activity we complete will be eligible for inclusion in this expanding resource. It is a living document designed for change, much like fashion shows and our industry.
