Modules

These modules are designed to be completed once per week and each module can be completed in about 30 minutes and is made up of the following 5 steps:

  • Pre-Lesson Reflection – will ask you to reflect on the challenges and success of your use of the DREAM program’s strategies with your children
  • Lesson – will present you with an overview and definitions of the target strategies while also explaining how your use of DREAM program strategies will benefit your child
  • Modeling Video – will demonstrate the successful use of the strategies by a skilled expert in an idealized and controlled setting
  • Coaching Activity – will allow you to practice identifying successful and unsuccessful use of the strategies with real caregivers
  • Post-Lesson Knowledge Check – will ask you some questions about the strategies to see how effectively we have taught you the strategies
Parent and child learning together

Our goal for these modules is to:

  1. Build modules that allow parents to transfer knowledge to use with their own children
  2. Allow parents to access the training when it is most convenient for them
  3. Provide parents with different opportunities to learn about the strategies
  4. Give parents the chance to grow and evaluate their knowledge through engaging videos
  5. Give parents a variety of videos of the strategies in action
