In either case, try answering the following questions to identify the discourse community or communities you could be a part of. As you move through Composition and Research in the business discipline, knowing your discourse community will be helpful in identifying potential organizations you may use in research. This self-assessment will help focus your thinking on what a discourse community is and identifying the written genres they use.
